  • Celebrate Highland Village (June) – The city's summer local tradition since 1987, this free three-day festival at Unity Park features hot air balloon launches each morning and balloon glows each evening, along with tethered balloon rides, live music, a classic car show, a kids' zone, and food and craft vendors.
  • Our Village Glows (November) – The holiday season officially begins at The Shops at Highland Village with  kickoff at Doubletree Ranch Park, starting with a morning 5K fun run and a fishing derby, followed by the Fire Truck Pull benefiting Special Olympics Texas. The evening brings food trucks, a kids' zone, live music, and a fireworks show after dark.
  • Highland Village Lions Balloon Festival (August) – A the lighting of a 35-foot Christmas tree and a light show synchronized to holiday music. The evening includes horse-drawn carriage rides, live entertainment, cookie decorating, ornament making, and the arrival of Santa.

Located near FM 2499 and FM 407, the outdoor center offers a variety of retailers, restaurants, services, and an AMC theater.
